15The ninth title within the “Wildlife Law Enforcement” compilation of memoirs by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Special Agent Terry Grosz (ret.), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Law Enforcement Division, when he pursues wildlife outlaws from the overt and covert arenas, running those to ground committing crimes against wildlife who’ve little or no voice. A heartfelt, sometimes gut-wrenching but always exciting journey in the never-ending war on poachers, smugglers, and market hunters. Terry Grosz was obviously a conservation officer for California as well as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for longer than 30 years. Wildlife Wars, his first book, won the National Outdoor Book Award the basis of a docudrama featured on Animal Planet. Eight memoirs followed. His Mountain Men Novels include “Crossed Arrows,” “Curse with the Spanish Gold,” and “The Saga of Harlan Waugh.”
